Your content and sharing

Last updated

Your account is your private starting point. Sharing is a separate choice about particular content and the people who can receive it.

What you keep

Your personal places, records, media and documents belong to your library. Adding a file does not make it public. You retain your rights in your own material and give Yamine the permission needed to provide the feature you choose. A linked public source may have separate reuse restrictions.

Before sharing

Check the audience and the content shown in the sharing view. A shared list, trip, Passport or companion session has its own scope. Private flags, selected parts and source permissions still apply. Do not upload or share material you have no right to use, another person’s confidential information, or content that is unlawful or harms people.

Stopping access and copies

You can end a sharing grant, leave a shared space, or stop seeing a received Passport or story and resume it later, using its available controls. Stopping access prevents future reading through that grant. A recipient may already have seen or downloaded the content, or have kept a copy the feature allowed. Their separate copy is not remotely erased when you remove yours. Shared financial records may remain for the participants even after someone leaves.

Unwanted or harmful content

Use Feedback in Settings to report unwanted sharing, abusive content, infringement or another safety concern. Include the relevant space or item and a screenshot only if you want it reviewed. You can also contact developers@yamine.app; privacy and data requests go to privacy@yamine.app. The team can investigate and restrict content or access where needed. Feedback shows the status and any team reply. For an immediate emergency, use the appropriate local emergency service.

Removing your content

Remove a personal record or original through its own controls, or request account deletion in Account. The app explains where a shared copy remains. You can download your personal account data before deleting it. The Privacy notice explains deletion progress, retained operational records and your data rights.
